SUDAN PEOPLE'S LIBERATION MOVEMENT/ARMY SPLM/A DAY

Our Land, One Nation-One People
The South Sudan We Need
On 16 May SPLM/A makes 38 years in existence since its inception in 1983. This day is less by one year to me. When this party and its military wing was established, I was only 10 months in Sudan enjoying my motherly love in my peaceful village. I did not know what were wrongs because I was yet a baby.
According to narrations, Dr. John Garang and his compatriots rioted and rebelled against the oppression of the regime in Khartoum after failed peace accord of 1972 Addis Ababa agreement between Khartoum Government and Joseph Lagu. The following agreement too of 1979 Abuja (err period) did not hold water. This left the Southerners with no option but fight for Freedom, Liberty and Prosperity and engraved in the SPLM Flag and used today on the Country's Coat of Arm.

Was the war justified? Yes in deed
Many people including my uncles, relatives and my only beloved father disappeared in search of real freedom, liberty and prosperity, which was attained in 2005 and eventually the independence of South Sudan in 2011 where I participated actively in a referendum knowing that I will enjoy partly before I die.
IN 2011, when our flag was raised higher and Khartoum flag was lowered there were tears of happiness flowing down everyone's cheek. It was real hope that people have finally realised.
From the above experience one can assumed that the war fought 20 years ago was a blessing in reality because each one believe only to defend the country from invasion rather than living in fear of each other. Yes, this could have been right when wrongs were brightened before 2013.
In search of putting things right as envisioned, South Sudan found herself in a regrettable war that finally shattered every hope and homes.
The anticipated hope turned out to be hose, no love, no peace, everything shattered and scattered.
In conclusion, it clearly shows that, the long time war fought where millions of people shed their blood is just a continues curses not realised.
There is no way, that can put us on straight routes save we understand what development rather than destruction is, if South Sudan realises the importance of sovereignty, then blessing will be poured on her.
In my conclusion, SPLM as a governing party has lost its credibility and now shrinking the country into abyss of poverty and circle of corruption and endless war. Shame on You, SPLM and all its sectors, We are tired, We need Peace, Democracy and Sustainable Development. Period!

I am concern Citizen, will always point and speak my mind truly
