Today, I take this special opportunity
To thank you for the good life you have bestowed upon us.
Despite all the odds we have committed against you,
You still care for us. Thank you very much.
Abba Father,
You know that when you created man,
You gave peace, love and hope to him
You gave him the right and ownership of the properties
You also apportioned him land to live on
Through the Red Sea, the Israelites possessed the lands of Canaan
You made them conquer and own the lands as you had promised.
Reuben to Benjamin, you gave each a piece of land.
Through Secession, the same land you gave to South Sudan,
You apportioned it to the sixty-three-plus nations to live on,
Abba, Father
With different resources for each nation, you blessed them.
Others you gave oil, others you gave water,
Others you gave animals and others lands for agriculture,
While others doubled their blessings, only known to your sovereignty.
Abba Father,
I stand in the gap with my head down on my knees
Like dry seasoned grains, ready for harvest into the barns.
We are bleeding in pain from helplessness
Monsters are trampling upon the smallest land.
Look Father,
You have settled us with peace, where you wanted us to stay.
You gave us hands and minds to use the available resources
To develop and grow peacefully.
You gave us hearts of humility, hospitality,
Meant to coexist with others and nature harmoniously.
Listen God
We are being hunted and haunted by monsters
Monsters, you too gave places, abundant livestock and fertile lands
Far richer than we are, but hell rains through them
They have become idiots against their fellows
Breaking our smallest and poorest hope.
Oh God,
What sins have we committed?
That shuts your eyes and ears from hearing
Is there no faithful one to answer his cry?
Why do your people deserve the silence?
Are there no faithful enough to turn down your anger? Please hear
our cries.
Almighty Father
We ask that your WILL be done today
Pass down your judgment on the lands,
Send your hailstorms and strike the plague, for your glory
Let the people know your sovereignty
And if there be betrayers amongst the people,
Let your fire consume them
Our Father God,
We have seen your powers working through your divinity
We believe you have not travelled too far to answer others
We believed your eyes and ears are alive, but not counting our sins.
Please, do not turn your back towards this heavy request
Please help us out of a tragedy that has befallen our lands
All these we cry today and believe
Ayella
