Text: Psalm 14:1.

Greetings, my brothers and sisters.

I hope you are having a wonderful moment. Do you know who a fool is? A fool is someone who knows the reality but does not believe in or do it; rather, they intentionally deny and oppose it. Many people know alcohol and cigarettes are harmful to health but still drink or smoke, hurting themselves. Similarly, many people know that bowing before an image is unbiblical, yet still glorify those images; some ask those images to pray for them. They deny Jesus as their mediator with God. Some people call Jesus a white god and reject his authority, resorting to their traditional philosophy, ideals, gods, or spirits. These people, the Bible calls them fools.

In Psalm 14:1, the Psalmist says, “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt; they have done abominable works; there is none that doeth good.” That means a fool is someone who says or believes there is no God. They deny the authority of God, they deny His sovereignty, and they deny His glory. They deny such facts intentionally, though they know the truth that their lives exist because of a creator.

Those who deny God and His divinity are corrupt. They corrupt others' minds, tend to bribe their followers, and believe in marketing their philosophy and ideals. They are consistently mistaken in their thinking and act ignorantly. The psalmist continues to describe them as individuals whose lives are abominable, and nothing good can emerge from them because they aim to divert people away from the path of truth, being foolish.

Well, some people still would love to be fooled. Listen, the Bible contains the word of God, written for you to learn about your life and your existential behaviours, and calls you to worship God alone. There is no reality or truth outside the Word of God. Science is a practical principle of the Word of God; arts are His designs. Relying on science or the arts does not make you isolated from the sovereignty of God because He is the force behind all. Think deeply. Are you a fool? Is the Psalmist right to describe you as a fool, corrupt, abominable, and useless? You can do better than being a fool, corrupt, and abominable.

If you know the harmfulness of alcohol or cigarettes, you will know the hurt of denying God. It eats slowly but surely into eternal death. Why don’t you think today and make some adjustments in your mind about God, to worship and glorify Him only? By the way, there is no middle ground in deciding. You either remain in your foolishness or move out and stick with God. As you go about your day, may this message affect your life and prevent you from remaining a fool. May this message continuously transform your thinking about God, your Creator. Return to your senses and worship Him alone. Anyway, the choice is yours!

Dear God.
Thank you for reminding me to turn away from being a fool and to choose wisdom to guide my thoughts and understanding of who you are. Help me, Father, to reject any idea that might lead me into denying your authority and your sovereignty and live to glorify you alone. Help me walk your path for your glory and honour in Jesus' name

Amen.
