Verse1
Do not seek RoyaltyNor enter Pride
Pass over to Wisdom
Pride shall go into captivity
Royalty shall come to nothing BUT
Seek the Lord and Live
Verse2
Do not let the Lord break out like fire
In the royal palace, devour it
With no one to put it off
You who turn justice to wormwood
You lay righteousness to death. BUT
Seek the Lord and live
Verse3
Hear this, you sons of Jezebel,
A lamentation for your downfall
City that marches out by a thousand
I will let it go to a hundred and
Those who go out by a hundred
Shall have ten left to your house, BUT anyway
Seek the Lord
and you will live
Verse4
You who hate
the one who rebukes in the open
You who abhor the one who speaks uprightly
You who tread down the poor and confiscate their grain
Though you built houses of hewn stones
You shall not dwell in them
Though you plant pleasant vineyards
You shall not
drink wine from them, BUT
If you seek the Lord, you will live
Verse5
The Lord knows your manifold transgressions
He knows your mighty sins
You who afflict the just and take bribes
You divert the poor from Justice at the gate
The prudent keep silent at all times
Because you are very evil, BUT
Seek the Lord and you will live
Verse6.
Hear this, oh Sons of Jezebel.
Seek good and not evil
To live, to be with you, I have spoken
Do not hate, do no evil
Establish justice,
I am ready to be gracious
To the remnants, the faithful.
Just Seek the Lord and Live
