TODAY'S DEVOTION

Have you ever wondered how one event can be perceived in different ways? The story of David and Goliath is a great example. When David defeated the giant, the women of Israel celebrated with praise and dance, hailing him as a hero. But King Saul's reaction was quite different. He became jealous and angry, feeling threatened by David's rising fame.

This story shows us the power of women's praise. It can build up or tear down, depending on how it's received. In David's case, the women's praise was a testament to his bravery and faith. But for King Saul, it was a reminder of his own failures and insecurities.

The question is, how will we respond to praise and recognition? Will we let it fuel our pride and ego, or will we use it as an opportunity to give thanks and glory to God? Let's learn from David's example and remember that our accomplishments are not solely our own doing, but also a result of God's guidance and blessings.

You know, women can make or break you with their words. They can belittle you in an instant or lift you up to the heavens. It's how we respond that matters.

Ponder on the following questions

How do you respond to praise and recognition?

Do you let praises fuel your pride or use them to give thanks to God?

How can you use praise and recognition to build up others?

Be encouraged, Amen,
