NEVER WILL YOU SEE AGAIN THE PRESS OF DAMNATION

Pressed but Not Crushed
Free verse Poem

On every side, hard we are pressed down.

But we are never crushed, but crowned.

Perplexed in thoughts, but not in despair

Feeling persecuted, not once abandoned or left bare

Down we are struck, but not destroyed.

The one who delights in the Lord finds joy unbound.

He makes his way firm, steady, and sound.

He will not fall, though he may stumble and stray.

In His love, He upholds thee, come what may.

My enemy, do not gloat over me today.

I will rise, though I have fallen, and find my way.

Though I sit in darkness, the Lord is my light of day.

His voice rings out, promising hope.

Stand still; never be in doubt.

Today, He will accomplish His salvation for you.

Never will you see again the press of damnation.

He will hold His peace; the Lord will fight for us.
